Partnering with North Korean Refugees

Posted by Jun Park on

North Korea holds the most repressive regime in the world where human rights are violated senselessly.

Countless stories are told of the horrible inhumane treatment of their people where they are denied even the most basic rights of free speech, movement and freedom. Food shortages are severe and there are many starving North Koreans forced to desperate measures to feed their families.

According to Open Doors USA, North Korea is the place where Christian persecution is most extreme in the world. The God-like worship of the leader, Kim Jong-Un, and his predecessors leaves no room for any other religion. Christians face unimaginable pressure and persecutions in every sphere of their life.

Crossway has been actively participating in the North Korean crisis working with LINK, ICC and most recently in partnership with Crossing Borders.

Crossing Borders is a faith-based organization devoted to helping NK refugees and their children live safe, healthy and productive lives in China. They openly share the Christian faith with the refugees that they help as well as connect them with a church to provide spiritual support.

Crossing Borders will be selling cold brew coffee and sharing their vision with the Brea campus on May 7th and with the Irvine campus on May 21st . Each sold cup of coffee provides 5 meals for a NK refugee so please come support a great cause!

The church needs to be aware of what is happening in North Korea.

The church needs to pray for what is happening in North Korea.

Let’s get involved in what is happening in North Korea!
