With the conviction that the local church is the hope of the world, Steve planted Crossway in 2007 with 50 core members. Steve was ordained in 1999 in the Presbyterian Church and is a graduate of the Talbot School of Theology (M. Div.) and UC Riverside. In 2008, Steve was awarded an honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity from Ebenezer Theological Seminary (Kerala, India) for his partnership to that ministry. Steve also serves on the board of ITS (International Theological Seminary) and JAMA (Jesus Awakening Movement in America). Steve and his wife Sharon have two daughters, Carissa and Ashley.
Sam oversees the internal ministries at Crossway Brea including our Communities and Bible Studies. Sam is a graduate of UCLA and Westminster Theological Seminary in California (M. Div.). An ordained minister (PCA), Sam served at several churches where his ministries included: children, youth, singles, church-planting, and campus ministry. Sam is married to Susan and they have one daughter, Sophia. Besides church and family, Sam's passions include sports, food, and coffee.
Jun got his undergraduate degree at UCLA and got his M. Div at Talbot School of Theology as well as his Th. M at Gordon Conwell Seminary in Boston. Jun is married to his beautiful wife Verona and has two beautiful daughters, Madelyn and Riley. Jun is passionate about Jesus, the bible, his family, good food, traveling and all things basketball. He currently serves as the site pastor for Crossway Irvine and leads the Missions department.
Paul pastors the singles' and college ministries at Crossway. He has served at several churches as a youth pastor, English Ministry pastor at a Korean American church, and as an advising campus ministry pastor. His passions are equipping people to love God, basketball, traveling, and anything related to UCLA. Paul graduated from UCLA, and finished his M.Div. and Th.M in Bible Exposition at Talbot School of Theology. Paul is married to Janet and currently resides in Diamond Bar, CA.
Six Eight Initiative Director
Jessica serves as the director of the Six Eight Initiative, a ministry partnering with local outreach organizations. Jessica has a Doctorate in Psychology and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Currently she is a social worker for a government agency and continues to bring transformative healing through counseling in her private practice. She is passionate about connecting the gospel to the community, and actively engaging the church with our neighbors. Jessica and her husband have one son, and are certified foster parents.
Brea Crossroad (Youth) Director
John serves as the Crossroads Youth Director of the Brea campus. He graduated from UCLA with a BA in Philosphy and from Talbot School of Theology with his M. Div. John's passions are to see the local Church be a family of men and women that love God and have their minds and hearts shaped and filled with His grace, mercy and love.
Eyvette oversees the Encounter worship music ministry at the Brea campus. She is a Southern California native who earned her B.A. in English from UCLA and her M.A. in Spiritual Formation & Soul Care from Talbot School of Theology. She considers leading worship teams at Crossway one of her life's greatest joys.

Brea Preschool Director
Lydia joined the Crossway staff to serve as the Brea Crosswalk Preschool Director. She graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a B.S. in Human Development and with a double minor in Sociology and Psychology. She enjoys serving and volunteering for numerous organizations and will talk nonstop about food and home projects.
Irvine Crosswalk (Children's) Director
Peter is a graduate of Talbot School of Theology (M. Div '18, Spiritual Formation & Soul Care). He met his lovely wife, Junia, during their undergrad years at UCLA, and they volunteered together in the Children's Ministry at their local church. Peter and Junia have a beautiful daughter Chloe and an energetic dog Miso. In his free time, Peter enjoys spending time with people. Peter hopes that God would use him to minister well to the children and families of Crossway in the coming years.
Daniel serves as an Irvine ministry intern, working with the young adults, as well as helps with the sound ministry at Crossway Irvine. He graduated from UC Davis with a BS in Computer Science and Engineering and recently completed his M. Div at Talbot Theological Seminary with an emphasis in Spiritual Formation.
Administrator and Irvine Youth Director
Jean serves as the Church Administrator and Thrive Youth Director at the Irvine Campus. Growing up primarily in the Bay Area, Jean enjoys cheering on his favorite Bay Area sports teams like the Golden State Warriors basketball team and San Francisco Giants baseball team, as well as his birth city Buffalo Bills football team. Jean also enjoys playing sports such as tennis, and is a big Roger Federer fan. He graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Psychology and is finishing his M. Div in Spiritual Formation at the Talbot School of Theology this Fall.
College Ministry Intern
Austin serves as a ministry intern with the college ministry at Crossway. He graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a BS in Civil Engineering and is pursuing a MS in Structural Engineering. His passion is for college students to worship Jesus passionately as part of the church body.
Christian serves as the Technical Director at Crossway, overseeing the technical needs of both our Brea and Irvine campuses. He is currently pursuing his B.A. in Communication Studies at Biola University. Calling Hawaii home, he splits his time between both, serving at Crossway and New Hope Oahu throughout the year. Outside of church he enjoys acting and cooking amongst other hobbies. He has an immense passion to see the Arts used for the glory of God and mentoring the next generation to serve in their God given talents.

James serves at Crossway by providing photo and video content. He graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a Visual Communications degree and a minor in design. He enjoys spending time with his wife and furbaby.
Brea Crosswalk (Children's) Pastor
Chris serves as the Crosswalk Pastor of the Brea campus. He graduated from Biola University with a BA in Biblical Studies and got his M.Div at Talbot School of Theology. He is currently studying for his second master’s degree at Talbot. Chris is passionate about Jesus and raising up the next generation to be the movement for God and His Kingdom. He also loves watching documentaries, playing and watching sports, especially all sports teams from Chicago.
